Overview

Microsoft groups its sector offerings as Microsoft Industry Solutions: Microsoft for Healthcare, Microsoft for Financial Services, Microsoft for Manufacturing and Nonprofits, combining Azure, Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, Fabric, Power Platform and agentic AI. Some pages still refer to Microsoft Cloud for industry.

These are mostly templates, data models and solutions on standard products, and they change. In healthcare, several solutions retired on January 30, 2025; from October 1, 2026 new customers use a downloadable source package instead of the managed Power Platform templates, whose support ends December 31, 2027. Microsoft Dragon Copilot is a separate clinical AI workspace for physicians, nurses and radiologists.

Dynamics 365 Sustainability, formerly Microsoft Sustainability Manager, records, reports and helps reduce emissions, water and waste impact, and now tracks social and governance metrics across several ESRS areas.

Industry templates are optional. The same products can be configured directly, and Microsoft Marketplace lists industry apps from Microsoft and partners.12345

    Azure IoT Operations

    Azure IoT Operations is a set of edge data services (MQTT broker, Akri connectors such as OPC UA, data flows) on Azure Arc-enabled Kubernetes at a site. It collects and normalizes equipment data locally, works offline for up to 72 hours, and sends results to Microsoft Fabric, Event Hubs or other cloud endpoints.
