HONOR has announced the arrival of the HONOR Magic8 Lite in the United Kingdom, presenting a device designed to deliver long-lasting power, reinforced durability and enhanced imaging capabilities. The new model introduces a 7500mAh silicon-carbon battery, offering up to three days of use, and becomes the first smartphone to secure the SGS 5-Star Comprehensive Reliability Certification in its category.
Bond Zhang, CEO of HONOR United Kingdom and Ireland, states: “Our team at HONOR in the UK strive to create cutting-edge smartphone innovation that’s more accessible, affordable and more easily available for every smartphone buyer. The HONOR Magic8 Lite continues our promise to provide more exciting choices for customers across our valued partners including EE, Virgin Media O2, VodafoneThree, Tesco Mobile, Currys, Argos, Very, Amazon, AO and John Lewis & Partners.”
Durability framework supported by SGS certifications and IP69K protection
The HONOR Magic8 Lite adopts a protection system designed to address drop impact, water contact and dust exposure. The model carries the SGS Triple Resistant Premium Performance Certification and the SGS 5-Star Comprehensive Reliability Certification, enabling it to withstand drops from heights of up to 2.5 metres onto specific surfaces.
The structure integrates HONOR Ultra-Bounce Anti-Drop Technology, a Non-Newtonian fluid layer and new ultra-deep tempered glass. Together, these elements provide resistance during accidental impacts.
The device also achieves IP69K water resistance, supporting exposure to rinsing, splashing, hot water (for up to 10 seconds), dirty or high-pressure water scenarios. It remains functional after immersion in water for up to 30 minutes at a depth of 1.5 metres. Features such as AI Heavy Rain Touch and AI Glove Touch help maintain touchscreen usability in difficult weather conditions.

Three-day power from a 7500mAh silicon-carbon battery
The Magic8 Lite integrates a 7500mAh silicon-carbon battery, tested to retain more than 80% capacity after six years of use. HONOR’s testing indicates up to:
- 52.5 hours of music streaming
- 23.8 hours of online video playback
- 16.8 hours of gaming
- 12.3 hours of video calling
The model supports reverse charging at 7.5W, enabling the smartphone to function as a wired power bank.
Multi-point temperature monitoring maintains battery performance between -30°C and 55°C. An ultra-power saving mode allows up to 60 minutes of continuous calling when the battery reaches 2%. The device also supports 66W wired HONOR SuperCharge for faster recharging.
AI-enhanced photography and 108MP ultra-sensing camera
The HONOR Magic8 Lite includes a 108MP ultra-sensing main camera with a 1/1.67″ sensor, supported by both OIS and EIS for stabilised imaging. The camera aims to provide enhanced detail in daylight and low-light environments.
The HONOR Connection feature enables photo transfers between operating systems, including iOS. A 4K HD moving photo collage function helps users compile dynamic visuals. Additional AI tools, including AI Eraser, AI Cutout and AI Outpainting, expand editing capabilities within the device.
OLED display with eye-comfort features
The Magic8 Lite features a 6.79-inch eye-comfort OLED display supporting 1.07 billion colours and 1.5K resolution. The 1.3mm bezels create a 94.6% screen-to-body ratio, while the 120Hz refresh rate maintains smooth interaction.
The display achieves 6000 nits peak HDR brightness using new deuterated organic light-emitting materials. To support eye comfort, the device includes 3840Hz PWM risk-free dimming, Circadian Night Display, AI Defocus Display, Dynamic Dimming and Hardware-Level Low Blue Light technology.
Performance powered by Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 and RAM Turbo
The smartphone runs on the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chipset, which delivers a 29% GPU improvement and an 11% CPU improvement compared with the previous generation. HONOR’s RAM Turbo technology expands the effective memory to the equivalent of 16GB RAM (8GB physical + 8GB virtual).
The model offers 8GB RAM with 512GB internal storage, enabling multitasking and extensive media storage.
Colour options, availability and sales channels
The HONOR Magic8 Lite will be available in the United Kingdom in early 2026 and will launch alongside the HONOR Magic8 Pro. Customers may choose from three colourways: Forest Green, Midnight Black, and Reddish Brown.
Retail availability includes major UK partners such as EE, Virgin Media O2, VodafoneThree, Tesco Mobile, Currys, Argos, Very, Amazon, AO and John Lewis & Partners.
