How to deeply transform the relationship of individuals to the economy? Begin by teaching children the foundations of a renewed capitalism. This is the bet of Give Nation and its founder Arnaud Saint-Paul.

GIVE Nation aims to become a global movement where 1.6 Billion kids become natural philanthropists from a young age and learn sustainable financial literacy. GIVE citizens are united by the blockchain-based GIVE coin in a nation powered by connectedness and altruism.

After 12 months of R&D and a successful pilot, the Kosovo Government are supporting country wide rollout with support from 1st tier brands.  The founder of GIVE nation is Arnaud Saint-Paul. He has been cultivating a multi-faceted professional and personal life for a long time. A blockchain expert, who has been repeatedly rewarded for his innovation projects, he has been a “researcher and spiritual teacher” in his own words, and a social entrepreneur. “Ten years ago,” he says, “I decided to spend the rest of my life helping humanity become conscious”. He began with the business world, which he knows so well. He became one of the first promoters of the American movement Conscious Capitalism and coaches leaders who wish to change the model of their organization to better take into account the social and environmental impacts of their actions.

Educate to Conscious Capitalism

In 2017 he created “Give Nation“, which he conceived as “a laboratory of conscious capitalism“. The project, supported by various companies and several government actors, aims to teach the youngest the foundations of an economy that takes into account the “purpose” to use the American term almost consecrated. The goal is that, from an early age, “the child integrates this notion of impact into the individual’s relationship to money, and the idea that every transaction must have a purpose”. The program involves giving children “give coins” – a kind of virtual pocket money – either by performing tasks assigned by their parents or teachers, or as a learning reward. They must then choose how to spend it: by investing in wind turbines, trees, in social or associative initiatives … Transactions are made and secured thanks to the blockchain, which supports local and global actions. The system is called upon to promote transnational exchanges. “In my mind, confirms Arnaud Saint-Paul, a UK children could invest in a mandragore tree located in Madagascar and ask a child from a local school to check periodically its growth. Thus, positive action continues. ” This is a form of education campaign with positive engagement! ” enthuses the founder.

Perspectives on Give’s Genesis

The first major project is about to be launched with 5,000 children in Pristina schools. Why the capital of Kosovo? “First, because it’s the youngest nation in Europe, 50% of its population is under 25,” says Give’s founder. Secondly, because the end of the war has generated a desire among its leaders to implement systemic changes, to change attitudes permanently.

Noting that “old” Europe does not have the same appetite for change, the entrepreneur is determined to demonstrate through this pilot project that “it works” and thus convince new actors. And he already thinks afterwards. Because if the blockchain is primarily intended to ensure the total transparency of the system, it opens the way for other developments. “Artificial intelligence will evaluate the system and thus bring out a model that works,” explains Arnaud Saint-Paul. A perspective that nourishes his hope of modeling the birth of a positive economy.
