“I spent a lot of time reading manga like One Piece and Naruto,” he says. “Those stories showed me how worlds are built piece by piece.”
He also played video games such as StarCraft and Morrowind and watched science fiction shows like Star Trek: The Next Generation and Stargate SG-1. These interests later shaped how he approaches creative work and problem solving.
Education and Learning How to Think
After graduating from high school, Bouchard attended the University of Georgia. He earned his bachelor’s degree in 2012 and was recognised as a Charter Scholar.
“University taught me how to think, not just what to learn,” he says. “That mattered more than any single class.”
The habit of steady learning stayed with him. It influenced how he approached both work and creativity later on.
Caregiving as Professional Training
After university, Bouchard worked in memory care. He served as a Resident Care Partner and later as a Patient Care Technician. These roles demanded focus, empathy, and emotional control.
“You can’t rush people when they need care,” he explains. “You learn to slow down and pay attention.”
He credits caregiving with teaching him skills often overlooked in business conversations. Patience. Observation. Presence.
“These jobs trained me to notice small details,” he says. “That same skill shows up in my art.”
Transition to Artist and Stay-at-Home Dad
In 2023, Bouchard shifted his focus to raising his children and building a daily creative practice. His work now includes watercolour painting, 3D printing, guitar, and miniature painting for tabletop games like Warhammer 40K.
“I don’t separate family life from work,” he says. “They support each other.”
His creative process is structured. He sets small goals and works in focused blocks of time. This approach mirrors the discipline he learned earlier through music and caregiving.
“People think creativity is chaos,” Bouchard says. “It actually needs structure to survive.”

Bouchard does not describe himself as a traditional business leader. Still, his influence shows up in creative and hobby-based communities. Through shared interests in sci-fi, gaming, and tabletop art, he connects with people around common purpose.
“Communities form when people care about the same details,” he says. “That’s where leadership starts.”
He sees these spaces as training grounds for collaboration and responsibility. Skills learned there often transfer into professional life.
“You learn to give feedback, to teach, and to keep showing up,” he adds.
Storytelling, Wrestling, and Strategy
One of Bouchard’s more unusual influences is professional wrestling. He views it as structured storytelling.
“Wrestling is about timing and delivery,” he explains. “You build tension, then release it.”
He applies those lessons to art and project work. Build slowly. Pay attention. Finish with intention.
“It’s not that different from running a project,” he says. “People just don’t call it that.”
Faith, Focus, and Long-Term Thinking
Faith plays a quiet but steady role in Bouchard’s life. He sees creativity and belief as connected practices.
“Both ask you to look beyond what’s in front of you,” he says.
When overwhelmed, he turns to simple actions. Painting. Walking. Prayer. These habits help him reset and return to work with clarity.
