Meet the winners of Brazil Startups Awards held by The Next Web

 

The Next Web-Brazil Startups Awards-Sao PauloProminent tech website The Next Web held its Brazil Startups Awards on July in Sao Paulo. The contest had over 8,000 votes and 1,1137 startups nominated.  A lot of prominent Brazilian startups were awarded in the event. One of them is fashion.me, which won the Prize for the Best Design.

Easy Taxi, which was previously awarded by IBM, was chosen as the best app mobile in the country.

The best startup of the year in the opinion of The Next Web is getninjas.com.br, which provides online budgets of “trusted professionals”.

RedPoint Ventures was awarded as the best investor. The portfolio of the firm includes PureStorage, PocketGems, Juniper, MySpace, Gogobot, Netflix, Branchout, and a lot of investments in China, among other countries. Ledface was the winner of the best user experience. The startup provides a crowd-sourcing platform which tries to approach many sorts of professionals.

conta-azul-startupThe best web application in Brazil, according to The Next Web, ContaAzul, which is designed to help entrepreneurs to provide electronic invoices and a whole system of finances administration to control cash flow.

Finally, the winner of the best co-founder item was Gustavo Caetano, who helped to found SambaTech. The startup aims to find online solutions and claims to be the most important website of that type in Latin America.
