Marc Weinstein is the founder and chief executive officer of Spotlight Financial Marketing (SFM). With nearly 25 years of experience in financial services communications, Marc has implemented innovative and successful marketing and public relations campaigns for a broad range of companies ranging from banks, asset management firms, brokerages, technology providers, and consultancies.
Prior to forming SFM, Marc served as senior vice president and head of the financial services practice at Spring, O’Brien, an integrated marketing firm, where he provided public relations counsel for such firms as The Bank of New York, CIT, OptiMark, Weeden & Co. and Fidessa. . Earlier, he was a vice president at Trimedia, where he directed communications strategies for financial services concerns in the U.S. and abroad. He also worked as an account supervisor at Edelman Worldwide, the largest independent public relations agency in the world.
Earlier in his career, Marc was an award-winning financial journalist who had worked for a number of business publications and financial wire services, including a stint at Chicago’s futures exchanges. Marc graduated with a bachelors of science degree in journalism from Ohio University.
