Formerly known as Oxylabs Group, the Vilnius-headquartered technology ecosystem brings together five web intelligence platforms as demand for live data retrieval grows fourfold, driven by autonomous AI agents and enterprise AI applications.
Lithuania is strengthening its position in the global artificial intelligence infrastructure market as Vilnius-headquartered Source announces the launch of its unified ecosystem, bringing together five specialised web intelligence platforms valued collectively at $3.6 billion.
Previously operating as Oxylabs Group, Source now unites Oxylabs, Decodo, Webshare, Honeygain and ScrapingBee under a shared governance structure. According to the company, its infrastructure supports eight of the world’s ten largest AI laboratories and processes more than 130 billion public-web requests daily across 180 countries.
The announcement comes as demand for real-time web data accelerates, with Source reporting an almost fourfold increase in data volume flowing through its infrastructure over the past year.
The development highlights the growing importance of data retrieval technology as AI systems evolve from conversational assistants into autonomous agents capable of searching, analysing and acting on information from external sources.
From Oxylabs Group to a $3.6 Billion AI Infrastructure Ecosystem
Source represents the latest stage in the development of a Lithuanian technology business that has spent more than a decade building web intelligence infrastructure.
The group grew through a profitable, self-funded business model before securing a $130 million investment led by Warburg Pincus earlier in 2026.
Its new structure combines five independent platforms serving different customer requirements, from individual developers and startups to large enterprises and AI laboratories.
| Platform | Role within the Source ecosystem |
|---|---|
| Oxylabs | Enterprise web intelligence and data collection infrastructure |
| Decodo | Web data access and collection tools |
| Webshare | Proxy infrastructure and services |
| Honeygain | Network-based data access platform |
| ScrapingBee | Web scraping API infrastructure for developers |
The companies will continue operating as specialised brands while benefiting from shared governance, compliance capabilities, capital and operational support.
Julius Černiauskas, Chairman of the Board of Source, says the structure is intended to preserve the flexibility of individual businesses while providing the institutional resources required for international growth.
“Source provides strategic operational support, global compliance, and capital that allows each of the companies – from Oxylabs and Decodo to ScrapingBee, Webshare, and Honeygain – to focus entirely on the specific needs of their customers and product roadmaps.”
AI Agents Drive Fourfold Growth in Live Web Data Demand
One of the most significant developments reported by Source is the acceleration in demand for live data retrieval.
The company says data volumes across its infrastructure have increased nearly fourfold over the past year, driven partly by the growing adoption of autonomous AI agents.
Unlike traditional AI applications that depend primarily on previously collected information, agentic systems increasingly require access to current data to complete tasks involving research, monitoring, analysis and decision-making.
This creates additional demand for infrastructure capable of retrieving information from public websites at scale.
“We have seen data volume flowing through our infrastructure surge nearly fourfold over the past year,” says Vytautas Savickas, CEO of Source.
“In the AI age, models cannot rely solely on static training datasets. Autonomous agents require real-time, zero-hallucination web grounding to make accurate decisions.”
While access to current information can improve the relevance of AI-generated responses, it does not independently eliminate hallucinations or guarantee accuracy. Reliable AI applications must also evaluate the quality, reliability and context of retrieved information.
To address the growing demand, Source is expanding its indexing and retrieval technologies. The company highlights Oxylabs’ newly introduced Web API for AI agents, designed to provide real-time access to publicly available web information.
Europe’s Role in Building the Global AI Data Layer
The launch of Source also highlights the potential role of European technology companies in developing the infrastructure underpinning the global AI economy.
While much of the attention surrounding artificial intelligence focuses on semiconductor manufacturers, model developers and cloud computing providers, AI systems also depend on data infrastructure that connects them to external information.
Source positions its platforms within this emerging data layer, providing services for organisations developing and deploying AI applications.
Savickas argues that the company’s growth demonstrates Europe’s ability to build internationally competitive technology businesses.
“Lithuania proves that world-class, sovereign deep tech infrastructure powering the global AI economy can be built right here in Vilnius,” he says.
He also points to Lithuania’s expanding technology sector, which the company describes as home to six unicorns.
Source plans to maintain its primary research, development and engineering hub in Vilnius while continuing to expand its international presence across the United States, Europe and Asia.
The company frames this strategy around European engineering expertise, operational independence and the development of compliant data infrastructure for global customers.

Source reports a workforce of more than 800 people across Europe, North America and Asia, including over 350 engineers and developers.
Its intellectual property portfolio includes more than 180 patents and 215 trademarks, reflecting continued investment in technical development and proprietary infrastructure.
Balancing Independent Platforms with Shared Governance
A central element of Source’s strategy is maintaining the independence of its individual technology platforms while providing centralised operational support.
The group believes this structure will enable its companies to respond to different market requirements without sacrificing development speed or customer specialisation.
Oxylabs, Decodo, Webshare, Honeygain and ScrapingBee will retain their individual product roadmaps, while Source provides shared resources supporting compliance, international operations and investment.
According to Černiauskas, the model enables customers to access specialised solutions while benefiting from the backing of a larger technology organisation.
The approach also reflects the increasingly diverse requirements of AI infrastructure customers, whose needs range from developer-focused APIs to enterprise-scale data retrieval systems.
The Growing Importance of Real-Time Data in AI
As AI systems become more autonomous, access to current and relevant external information is becoming an increasingly important component of their technical architecture.
For businesses deploying AI agents, this can involve retrieving market information, monitoring websites, researching competitors and gathering data required for automated workflows.
These applications require infrastructure capable of supporting frequent requests, reliable delivery and responsible handling of public-web information.
Source’s expansion demonstrates how demand for such services is creating opportunities for specialised infrastructure providers beyond the major cloud and AI model companies.
For Lithuania, the group’s international growth highlights the potential of European technology ecosystems to contribute to the global AI economy through specialised engineering and data infrastructure.
With its five-platform structure and growing focus on agentic AI, Source is positioning itself to serve a market in which access to reliable, up-to-date information is becoming increasingly important.
