Private aviation can provide business owners, executives, corporations, and families with greater flexibility, privacy, and control over their travel.
However, choosing the right aviation solution involves more than selecting an aircraft or comparing prices.
Aldrew Crowe founded BPE Air, LLC after recognizing that many people entering private aviation needed a trusted company that could help them understand their options, make informed decisions, and receive support beyond a single transaction.
Today, Crowe is developing BPE Air as an integrated aviation platform providing aircraft acquisitions and sales, private charter support, leasing and fractional leasing, aircraft management, maintenance coordination, flight training, and simulator programs.
His long-term goal is to build a company capable of supporting clients throughout the different stages of their aviation journey.
“The airplane is only one part of the decision,” Crowe said. “Our responsibility is to understand what the client is trying to accomplish and help identify the structure that makes the most sense for their needs.”
From Akron Entrepreneurship to Aviation Leadership
Aldrew Crowe’s entrepreneurial instincts began long before he entered aviation.
Growing up in Akron, Ohio, he cut grass, shoveled snow, sold candy, and later worked in direct sales. Those early experiences taught him that opportunities are often created through hard work, persistence, and relationships.
They also shaped one of the principles that continues to guide his approach to business.
“People buy the person before they buy the product,” Crowe said.
That principle carries particular importance in aviation, where clients may be making substantial financial and operational decisions. Before someone places an important transaction or travel responsibility in a company’s hands, they must first trust the people advising them.
BPE Air began with a vision larger than the resources immediately available to the company. Crowe focused on building relationships, developing industry knowledge, and establishing a foundation capable of supporting sustainable growth.
He believes reputation is created through consistent performance, transparency, and doing what was promised—not through marketing alone.
Helping Clients Make the Right Aviation Decision
People use private aviation for different reasons.
A corporation may need to move executives between several locations efficiently. A business owner may need greater control over a demanding schedule. A family may value privacy, convenience, and access to destinations that are difficult to reach through commercial service.
However, there is no single solution that works for everyone.
Depending on the client’s travel frequency, priorities, budget, and long-term plans, the appropriate option could involve chartering, leasing, fractional leasing, or full aircraft ownership.
“We believe aviation decisions should be made with clarity, not pressure,” Crowe said.
Sometimes the most valuable recommendation is helping a client avoid purchasing the wrong aircraft or entering an arrangement that does not fit the client’s long-term needs.
Crowe wants clients to feel educated and confident rather than rushed into a transaction.
Support Before, During, and After the Transaction
An aviation relationship does not necessarily end when an aircraft is purchased, sold, or leased.
A client who begins with charter may later consider leasing or ownership. An aircraft owner may need management support, maintenance coordination, or guidance in determining whether the aircraft still meets changing business or family needs.
BPE Air works with business owners, executives, entrepreneurs, corporations, families, aircraft buyers, and sellers seeking aviation solutions tailored to their individual circumstances.
Some clients are entering private aviation for the first time. Others already have experience but want additional support involving acquisitions, sales, leasing, aircraft management, or long-term planning.
Crowe’s goal is to provide continuity throughout those transitions.
“An educated client can become a long-term client because trust is built through transparency rather than sales pressure,” Crowe said.
That relationship-driven approach is intended to position BPE Air as more than a brokerage company. Crowe is building an organization capable of remaining useful as a client’s aviation needs evolve.
Looking Beyond the Aircraft
Crowe believes clients must look beyond appearance and purchase price when evaluating an aircraft.
Maintenance history, operating costs, aircraft condition, ownership structure, and future needs can all influence whether a particular option is appropriate.
An aircraft may initially appear attractive but become a poor fit once its long-term responsibilities are fully understood.
BPE Air helps clients identify the areas that deserve closer attention and the questions that should be answered before an agreement is signed.
The same thinking applies to charter travel.
Price matters, but so do aircraft suitability, scheduling reliability, safety practices, communication, and the overall level of service.
“Reliability is built before a flight departs,” Crowe said. “It begins with preparation, communication, and experienced professionals who understand the responsibility involved.”
Building the Infrastructure for BPE Air’s Future
Crowe does not view aircraft sales, charter, leasing, management, maintenance, and training as disconnected businesses.
He sees them as parts of one larger aviation platform.
A charter client may eventually consider leasing. A leasing client may later purchase an aircraft. Aircraft owners may require management and maintenance support. Pilots need continuing training, while the broader aviation industry needs a stronger pipeline of qualified professionals.
Over the next several years, BPE Air plans to strengthen its domestic operations while continuing to develop its capabilities in aircraft acquisitions and sales, leasing, management support, maintenance services, flight training, simulators, and technology-supported aviation services.
Crowe’s long-term vision also includes international growth and, eventually, the development of a commercial airline.
He understands that a vision of that size requires disciplined planning, experienced leadership, regulatory compliance, financial accountability, and the right people working together.
“I am not looking for people to work for me,” Crowe said. “I am looking for people to work with me.”
Crowe wants BPE Air to develop leaders who can eventually carry different areas of the organization and help it become an institution that is not dependent upon one individual.
Creating Opportunity Through Aviation
As a minority-owned aviation company, BPE Air also intends to create opportunities for young people and communities that have historically had limited exposure to aviation careers.
Planned and developing initiatives include scholarships, simulator experiences, youth aviation programs, mentorship, flight-training exposure, and partnerships with schools and community organizations.
Crowe wants young people to understand that aviation includes much more than becoming a pilot. The industry also offers careers in aircraft maintenance, avionics, dispatch, airport operations, engineering, training, management, and entrepreneurship.
His objective is not simply to create a temporary moment of inspiration. He wants to help establish meaningful pathways from exposure to education, qualification, and employment.
“The greater the blessing, the greater the responsibility,” Crowe said.
That commitment is also personal.
As the father of a nonverbal son with autism, Crowe wants the company’s future growth to support a broader mission involving children, families, autism awareness, and mental-health resources.
He does not view that mission as a marketing initiative. He views it as a responsibility that should grow alongside the business.
A Vision Built Around People
For Crowe, BPE Air’s future will not be measured only by aircraft transactions, facilities, or expansion.
It will also be measured by the trust the company earns, the people it develops, and the opportunities it creates.
Crowe wants BPE Air to become recognized for thoughtful guidance, long-term relationships, operational excellence, and a commitment to helping shape the future of aviation.
“For me, aviation is the business,” Crowe said. “People are the purpose.”
The aircraft may be what people notice first.
But they have never represented the final destination.
“It was never about the airplanes,” Crowe said. “It was always about the people.”
